Chances are if you're buying gear, you're preparing for the worst case scenario. Here's a scenario: you're in the middle of a firefight and that expensive optic you put on your rifle isn't working. Maybe it took a round, or you smacked it against something in the chaos, or maybe it's simply out of battery. How much time will you waste getting your rifle back in the fight? A lot less if you have 45 degree back up iron sights.

Left-Handed Shooters: While designed to be used on the right, these sights can be flipped and used on the left side of your rifle, if you choose. The only differences will be the direction the sights fold, and the use of the smaller aperture on the rear sight may be slightly less comfortable, as the back side is flat instead of having a concave eye relief like the front.  If you're just looking to use these as close-range back ups, they'll work for both left- and right-handed shooters.
